Our “what” is incredibly simple: We equip people to live lives of restoration. It’s why we exist as an organization. We know that you don’t need to start a non-profit to befriend your neighbors, share meals with strangers, or cross social barriers. But we know it can be intimidating to step out of our comfort zones, so we exist to support others through our example.
While there are lots of ways to live restoratively, we focus on restorative generosity, hospitality, and inclusivity. Those are the values that guide us.
Most nonprofits want you to come help, putting in hours of service before returning home. But while we love visitors, we hope to connect with you a little differently. Instead of volunteering with us, this is what we have in mind:
Friends like you hear our story, see our life together, consider our teaching, and are then inspired and equipped to live with renewed courage, bit-by-bit restoring pieces of your heart and then eventually bringing restoration into your community. That’s our “why.”
So when you leave our house, our website, our presentation, or our social media stream, we want you to look at yourself and the person next to you just a little differently. We want you to know that even the most broken relationships have hope for new life. And we want to share about our community with you so you feel inspired and equipped to experience that restoration as reality.
